About Rajib Lochan Hota College of Pharmacy (RLHCP)

A Unit of The Pharmaceutical College (TPC), Barpali

Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, and faithfulness the best relationship.” Inspired by this philosophy, Rajib Lochan Hota, a visionary leader and dedicated social reformer, established The Pharmaceutical College, Barpali under the Society Registration Act in 1986. With a deep commitment to improving healthcare access in rural areas, especially for underprivileged students, he laid the foundation of this institution without any government donation or external funding. Through sheer determination, personal resources, and the unwavering support of a like-minded managing committee, the college was nurtured into a center of excellence — imparting quality pharmaceutical education and contributing to the national vision of “Health for All.”

Over three decades, his moral values, selfless dedication, and commitment to social welfare continued to guide the college’s mission. Even in his final moments, his words echoed compassion and collective well-being:
“Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niraamayaah, Sarve Bhadrani Pashyantu, Maa Kashchid Dukha Bhag Bhavet.”
